Hemingway Pouch Sew Day

Level: Beginner (No bag-making experience required)

Create the Hemingway Pouch by Center Street Quilts with Charlotte! This pouch comes in several sizes for different uses such as a pencil or eyeglasses case up to a large tablet or small laptop. This is a beginner pattern featuring a fun way to insert a zipper with cute binding. OPTIONAL: Skip the inside binding and finish the raw edges with one of our sergers. 

The class time should give students time to complete at least one pouch. Stick around to start another one! 

Requirements: Must have a copy of the pattern.

Supplies List:

• Please refer to the back of the pattern for supplies depending on the size you choose.  
• Purchase foam here
• Purchase zippers here
• Marking utensils
• Rotary cutter (and ruler) or scissors
• Pins and or basting spray
  
• Walking foot
• Optional: 
  • Binding clips
  • 1/8" double-sided tape
  • basting glue

Notes

• Please be 15 minutes early to class to set up and be ready to start on time.
• Turn your cell phone off or to vibrate. Leave the classroom if you need to use your phone.
• Our cancellation policy is this: If we cancel the class, we refund your fee. If you cancel out of a class 7 days or more before the class, we refund your class fee. After that time, the fee is non-refundable.
