Yarn Couching with Embroidery

Learn to set up your embroidery machine for yarn couching! You will learn how to combine designs and stitch out some test samples! 

Requirements: Must have one of the machines listed below.

Baby Lock

• Solaris 2, 3
• Solaris 1 with the upgrade kit
• Altair 2
• Altair 1 with the upgrade kit
• Meridian 2
• Meridian 1 with the upgrade kit

• Aveneer EV1
• Luminaire XP2, XP3
• Luminaire XP1 with SAVRXPUGK1 software upgrade 
• Stellaire  XJ2/XE2
• Stellaire XJ1/XE1 with the SAVRWUGK1 upgrade kit

Supplies list: (PLEASE REVIEW)

• Machine 
  
• Screwdriver for your machine
  
• Machine manual
  
• 5x7 hoop and largest hoop size
  
• Several thread colours and yarn if you have some at home (I will have a bin of yarn for you to play with)
  
• Bobbins wound with light colour
  
• Tapestry needle
  
• Scissors
  
• Light coloured fabric to fit hoops (white, cream or light colour)
  
• Yarn guide and embroidery couching foot 
  
• Yarn threader (small wire included with upgrade or machine)
  
• Thread stand (either one that attaches to your machine or a stand alone)
  
• Medium weight stabilizer to fit hoops

Notes

• Please be 15 minutes early to class to set up and be ready to start on time.
  
• Turn your cell phone off or to vibrate. Please leave the classroom if you need to use your phone.
  
• Cancellation policy: If we cancel the class, we refund your fee. If you cancel out of a class 7 days or more before the class, we refund your class fee. After that time, the fee is non-refundable.
