About
Quilting Confections
I started out sewing clothes with my sister, Colleen, and my good friend, Susan, under the guidance of our moms. We would cut out patterns on the floor in the basement, sewing everything from tops to pants and Halloween costumes. Eventually, I even made my own wedding dress.
Over the years, there have been many home decorating projects, such as curtains, cushions, bedding and upholstery. Having four girls, this was also interspersed with sewing adorable clothes for them.
In the early 1990's, I became interested in quilting. However, it wasn't until I moved to the Windsor area in 1995 that the bug really bit. And in 2009, I had the good fortune to obtain a part-time job at Quilting Confections. Here, quilting became a passion (read: addiction). I have taught many different classes and designed a few of my own quilt patterns.
I had the opportunity to purchase Quilting Confections from Sue Aylesworth in January 2018. I continue her tradition of providing excellent customer service from great staff and teachers, showcasing an excellent selection of products, and offering a calendar full of fun, instructive classes. Now, in 2022, I am excited to add on-line shopping to our range of services. Whether in-person or on-line, we hope to serve you soon!
